EIA: Ethanol production down 1%, stocks down 1%, exports down 21%

U.S. fuel ethanol production was down 1% the week ending April 11, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration on April 16. Stocks of fuel ethanol were also down 1% and exports were down 21%.

Fuel ethanol production averaged 1.012 million barrels per day the week ending April 11, down 9,000 barrels per day when compared to the 1.021 million barrels of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, production for the week ending April 11 was up 29,000 barrels per day. 

Weekly ending stocks of fuel ethanol fell to 26.814 million barrels the week ending April 11, down 220,000 barrels when compared to the 27.034 million barrels of stocks reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, stocks for the week ending April 11 were up 734,000 barrels. 

Exports of fuel ethanol averaged 137,000b barrels per day the week ending April 11, down 37,000 barrels per day when compared to the 174,000 barrels per day of exports reported for the previous week. When compared to the same week of last year, exports for the week ending April 11 were down 38,000 barrels per day. No imports of fuel ethanol were reported for the week ending April 11.
