India puts $24m in subsidies on the table for two green hydrogen hubs

The government of Uruguay is facing a fresh legal challenge from activists hoping to force it to release details of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) it signed with US-headquartered e-fuels producer HIF Global in February.

Officials signed the document with the aim of throwing their weight behind HIF’s plans for the development of a 1GW green hydrogen-derived methanol plant in the border city of Paysandú.

But although activists at the Sustainable Uruguay Movement (Movus Uruguay) were granted a court order in June compelling the government’s executive branch to release the document, they say the state has so far not complied.
