MNRE Grants Provisional Enlistment To Solar Manufacturers For Additional PV Models In ALMM List

SAEL Solar Manufacturing Private Limited, Emmvee Photovoltaic Power Private Limited, and HR Solar Solutions Private Limited have all received provisional enlistment for additional solar PV models in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) approved list of models and manufacturers (ALMM List-I). This provisional enlistment is based on the applications submitted by these companies and follows the guidelines set out by the MNRE in a notice dated May 10, 2023.

SAEL Solar Manufacturing, which already has an enlisted capacity of 117 MW per year, has applied for an additional 300 MW capacity per year. The provisional enlistment granted to SAEL covers one additional solar PV model, with the final enlistment to be completed upon the company fulfilling the relevant conditions and provisions specified in the ALMM order and guidelines. The final listing in the MNRE ALMM List-I will be determined after the necessary scrutiny and the company’s compliance with all applicable instructions.

Emmvee Photovoltaic Power, with an already enlisted capacity of 676 MW per year, has applied for additional solar PV models to be added to the list. Like SAEL, Emmvee’s provisional enlistment includes one additional solar PV model, with the final enlistment to follow subject to compliance with ALMM guidelines and government scrutiny.

HR Solar Solutions, which has an enlisted capacity of 136 MW per year, has also applied for an additional capacity of 136 MW per year. The provisional enlistment granted to HR Solar Solutions is for one additional model, with the same process for final enlistment following the submission of required documents and compliance with MNRE’s provisions.

It is important to note that while provisional enlistment in the ALMM List-I provides these companies with recognition, neither the MNRE nor its associated entities, such as the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE), are liable for any losses, damages, or expenses incurred if the models fail to secure final enlistment in the MNRE’s ALMM List. This provision has been made clear in the communication issued to the companies.

The approval of provisional enlistment by MNRE represents a significant step toward expanding the capacity and diversity of solar PV models in India’s renewable energy sector. These companies’ applications for additional solar models show their commitment to increasing production capacity, contributing to India’s push for greater solar energy adoption. The provisional enlistment is a step toward enhancing their market presence, subject to fulfilling the necessary regulatory requirements.
